LEP says:
Ken Follet's "sequal" to Pilars of the Earth, set 200 years later. Sorry, but apart from the actual history part of the story, the story itself is more or less the same as Pilars of the Earth. Replace the young stone mason with a young architect/builder, who is in love with the wool merchants daughter who in turn is forceed to marry someone else. The stone mason's mother, who was considered a witch, is replaced by a herbalist who is hanged as a witch. You have the corrupt churchmen etc., etc.

Edward III was 14 when he came to the throne and 17 when he removed his mother from the throne to rule himself and killed Mortimer his Mother's lover and his father's killer. Yet the actor playing him looks around 30 yrs of age and has a good growth of designer stubble.
