A. Baker says:
Desiderata: Robert Hamer's THE SPIDER AND THE FLY; Pat O'Connor's FOOLS OF FORTUNE; John Irvin's TURTLE DIARY; Vincente Minnelli's YOLANDA AND THE THIEF; Stanley Donen's GIVE A GIRL A BREAK; Joseph Losey's THE GO-BETWEEN in wide screen (yes, I know it was shot full matte, and that version is very satisfactory, but it would be good to have it in the shape in which it was shown in cinemas); Michelangelo Antonioni's LE AMICHE (there's a region 1 dvd, but it's unrestored and could be better: step forward, Criterion). - Anthony Baker, Somerset

I want 'Amatuer' on DVD. It's a dark comedy - if you like In Bruge you'll like this - with a nymphomaniac nun, a homocidal maniac and an amnesiac pornographer. Oddball and funny, but only available on VHS or Region 1.

Hi there - Try CDWow. I got the full Gold Box from there on Region 2+4 (I think it's Australian), which wasn't as pretty as the UK Series One release, but cost less than the original price of Series One (and has 13 discs or something, including some cool extras). I think you can get a nice box edition (like the UK Series One) for Series Two only if you're willing to shell out for it...

M Simmonds says:
The Secret of Santa Vittoria (A very underrated Anthony Quinn film)
Operation Crossbow
Waterloo Bridge
The Victors
The Pawnbroker
No Way to Treat a Lady
The Prisoner of Second Avenue
Move over Darling (There must be every other Doris Day film available apart from this one!)
The Pumpkin Eater

Some of the above are available on Region 1 or imports, but not an actual UK version.

There are two films which should be released on DVD - A fully restored and uncut version of Ken Russell's 'The Devils' and 'Operation Daybreak' - a film about the assasination of Reinhardt Heydrich with Timothy Bottoms, Anthony Andrews and Martin Shaw. These are two absolute classic films but both are only available as badly transferred VHS copies on DVD. I'm sure there must be a huge demand for these films and I think it is criminal that they have not had an official release on DVD.

Looking After Jo Jo.

Starring Robert Carlyle.

A lot of it was filmed locally. Convinced my other half to get rid of her VHS copy when we were clearing out all the old VHS tapes and I assured her that it would soon come out on DVD.

It hasn't. And every time we see one of the filming locations, I am curtly reminded that it hasn't been released on DVD yet!

Over 8000 people have signed an online petition to get "Morris, a Life with Bells On" given a general release. You can only see it in town and village halls. So howabout a DVD to satisfy those who can't see it? (It features Derek Jacobi)

Will someone please release "Green Dolphin Street" starring Lana Turner, Van Heflin and Donna Reed. I have it on VHS but want it on DVD. Tapes stretch , lose quality and the sound gets woolly. Colin Bentley
