Just had a drop card and run by them makes me wish I did not pay for delivery with two people in and awake 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs, even Yodel knocked on my door.

Johann:I understand your point, they should be delivering the parcel somebody is at the address.
Rest assured I will escalate your issue with the delivery

I will keep the post updated to see if the company can mess this up anymore.

Attempted to talk to live help about this today totaly worthless as they have to magic the issue up to some other team that will take 24hours
Attempted to ring the number on the card [nope] "We are having some techanical dif and cant put you bla bla bla [it hangs up]

They keep leaving my parcels with the neighbours when I'm at work, when I haven't designated that as somewhere I want them to go, and I have a secure shed by my door, where all Royal Mail deliveries go. I now have unhappy neighbours and am forced to have my parcels sent elsewhere. Not happy...

Left work early got home to find they attempted to re-delver at 3:00 pm again as the day before completely ignoring the request.

This is the worst delivery company and service I have experienced with Amazon being a customer for 5 years !

Ditto with being in and having a card drop. Sometimes I wonder if any courier company is capable of delivering a parcel as they promise.

My favourite is Interlink Express, they give you a one hour time slot. Then miss it. Then they deliver randomly sometime in the next week.

Royal Mail manage to do a far better job than most of the courier companies IMHO.

Royal mail, I have had to request RM deliveries to my office as 50% go missing.
The office deliveries arent much better but as the guys are there 24/7, and there's cameras they cant say no one was in.

I had two suits delivered by NEXT, the card said 'left in porch' I don't have one. The next set was also 'left in porch' I found this delivery under the car, in the rain, so now everything goes to work.

Had a card from APLE, called to reschedule delivery and was told to expect it between 7 and 7 the following day - no ability to specify a time. Asked for the contact number of APLE and was given the number I had just called. Have spent with amazon but can't see me doing it again. Customer service was disinterested, they seem to think that I will take a day from work to receive a small parcel, or agree to have it left with neighbours I barely know. Never had this trouble with the Royal Mail

Is it me, or it's literally impossible to get any parcel from this company delivered for normal people after we get home or over the weekend? That's the whole point of parcel companies, they provide the service, and we are the ones paying for it, not Amazon! This guy clearly doesn't give a flying duck about anything! Amazon, please drop this company, they clearly do not care about their real customers!!!

I had only placed my order last Thursday, selecting the FREE super saver delivery option, and it arrived at 12:33pm on Friday!
Now I know there will be those of you out there who will tell me that I was extremely lucky, and that this does not match your experiences of APLE, and to be honest I was surprised. Maybe the service will not be so good next time, in which case I'll let you know, but as first impressions go this was pretty good!

City Link are also terrible say they tried to post an item when they clearly havent and dont even leave a card. "white door" as their description!
Why dont Amazon use DPD? They send you a text for the 30mins slot that you will recieve your parcel! Best delivery company by far! Thats why top companies use them!

UPDATE: I have been in ALL DAY listening and watching out now I get the message online "First delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made on the next working day" There wasnt any attempt what so ever! No card left to proove it! Just because the delivery driver could not be bothered as it was getting late methinks! (5pm not that late!) APLE = worst delivery company!!

Waited in yesterday. No delivery and no card. Royal Mail postie for our road is brilliant, why I always used to order everything from Amazon. Note "used to". Sort it out Amazon! At least let customers choose which delivery service delivers their parcel even if it costs a little more. Being effectively stuck in my house from 7am til 7pm two days in a row waiting for a tea towel hook is not my idea of fun.

I need the book for my daughters revision as a priority. Now arranged for delivery to work but have no confidence at all. Amazon stop using this supplier or people will stop using Amazon. Awful.

This will definitely affect my orders with Amazon as I'm not allowed to keep having stuff delivered to work. I used to be able to go to the Royal Mail office really easily on a Saturday.

I heard someone scrabbling around outside my front door (Oxford area). I got there in 5 seconds flat but the Aple man was already heading back to his van. Called him back, and told him off for not waiting long enough. The admittedly sheepish reply was: 'but I didn't knock at your door as I didn't know if anyone would be in'. Roll eyes big time. Unfortunately for him, I was already well in fighting mood and not my usual demure self so he got both barrels. Turns out the scrabbling was him trying to force the packet into a milkbox hung on the outside wall. If it had been less of a tight fit, I doubt I'd have caught him even in a 3-second sprint to the door...

Suddenly all my parcels (even ones under 10) are coming through APLE, if this carries on then I will not be shopping with amazon. I don't want all my parcels left with my poor neighbours and I want to be able to collect items undelivered from my local royal mail sorting office. APLE has to be stopped!

What makes this so odd is that I was outside hanging Christmas lights up at that time and saw no van or anyone come into my garden. My other half says she didn't see anyone either and she was footing the ladder for me. To put it in perspective, you would have had to ask me to move the ladder in order to get to my front door.

Well i live in halls and in our reception thats open 8am-6pm there are 2 receptionists, a warden, an assistant warden and a maintenance guy and they attempted to deliver at 3:16pm. Will have to stop using amazon. 2nd time this week i have had incompetent delivery companies from them. No one else has this trouble.

They rang me to say they were outside my house, and when would be a good time to come back. So I told them, and they came back at a different time. I actually dont mind going to the delivery office to collect them - Royal Mail are courteous and helpful. And it is always local.

Ive cancelled the order - Ive moved it to play.com, for all of 50p more. Hopefully they will deliver with Royal Mail, City Link, or someone who has a physical presence you can go and collect it from.

For information, the person on the phone did offer me the option of collecting from the nearest depot with a counter you can visit. This was 100 miles away.

APLE leave a card with a tracking number but Amazon customer services can't reschedule from the tracking number they need the order number. So if someone sends you a gift it had better not be a surprise, and you'd better not have more than one friend likely to send you anything otherwise how do you know which parcel is which?

I know this is a busy time of year (the busiest!) for the parcel companies, but they need to try harder to avoid letting down themselves, Amazon, and the end customer. Amazon is convenient *only* as long as the delivery agents keep their promises. Personally I'd be willing to pay a little more for a louder and/or more-honest carrier (or for a choice of carrier when placing my order).

EVEN SO - just had a gentle tap of knuckles on the wooden door just now. Had I not been downstairs and alerted by the sound of scrabbling beforehand I'd never have heard it. WHAT IS WRONG with these people? Or are knockers simply out of date?
