Has anybody had trouble with City Sprint. So far this weekend I have ordered the same item for delivery on Saturday and Sunday. Saturdays never turned up. I checked online to find that the delivery was listed as attempted. After protracted phone calls to City Sprint their only advice was that I could get my order redelivered on Monday. Not much good when the first courier could not find my address. Amazon have refunded my whole order. I'ver tried again for a delivery today. And again no joy. Grateful for others feedback on City Sprint.

Hi, I've had repeatred problems with City Sprint too, although admittedly I've given my work address as the delivery address. The tracking info states that three delivery attempts have been made on three consecutive days, but the last attempt was 5 days ago and there's been no information since. On no occasion did City Sprint try to phone me, in spite of the fact that my mobile number is listed as associated with the delivery address. I'd be happier with a Royal Mail delivery, it would be a heck of a lot less hassle!

Mr. P. Stamp says:
Amazon won't take any responsibility - you'll get an e-mail saying that they realise it reflects badly on them as a company and that they are sorry your order didn't arrive on time. They will tell you that they closely monitor the performance of the courier companies that they use and that your feedback is very valuable.

Ie they'll do nothing. Trust me - I've been through this three times in the last two weeks. They never deliver and they don't care.

I've heard a lot of complaints about CS in the past.

Let's just say I've never had a good report about them.

(after posting realised doesn't show my real name so gloves are coming off)

CS deliveries are regularly over hours late for deliveries, don't use any sort of proof of delivery, and deliver products which are of a very sensitive nature to the wrong businesses they are completely pants.

I have had repeated failures by City Sprint over the past two and a half months with items ordered from Amazon not turning up at all. They have all been ordered on the Prime one day delivery system, so Amazon is in breech of their own terms. One of the ten was returned to Amazon after three and a half weeks from CS stating that it was 'undeliverable'. I have phoned City Sprint four times, and they usually say either a) they don't recognise the CS despatch number given by Amazon or b) they don't recognise the post code -- which they have in the past. So what is going on ? The two main culprits are the CS depot in bedford and Peterborough. CS sounds duplicitous , eithere they are committing fraud for gain or they are going bust !

T. Palliser says:
Can we have a clarification from Amazon detailing what to expect from City Sprint when dealing with them about Amazon orders?

Should they be able to track the parcel?

I was just told by one of their customer care staff that they cannot see a parcel's progress when it has an Amazon tracking code!!! He was very insistent about it!

Also, what times are deliveries made between? 8am - 8pm or later?

Please Amazon, help us out!

C. Frater says:
So far this year I have had 3 deliveries returned to Amazon because of Citysprint. Okay, Amazon refund the cost, but that is minus a return fee for goods i never received. They are even worse than MyYodel who at least leave a card when they attempt delivery. City sprint don't even bother with that. The only indication with citysprint is by tracking everything on their online tracker and as previous have commented, the truth of their data is questionable.

This is not just amazon orders, even when I have left specific instructions to leave the package with the complex caretaker, they simply ignored that.

I'm afraid I have to add my voice to this ever-increasing litany of complaints against CitySprint. If you pay extra for one day delivery, this should mean something. The item did apparently arrive the next day but at 5.08pm by which time noone was in the house. No card was left and I wasn't contacted for redelivery. Order date: 19th. Finally received: 24th. It would have been better to go for Supersaver (ie free). Generally I dislike having to sign for inexpensive items and think you should have the option to pay for one day NOT signed-for so you don't have to loiter around at home all day for nothing to come. Boo to City Sprint.

Same problem, I ordered an item on Friday and it should have been here yesterday but the tracking order still says 'In Transit'. Do they even deliver on Sunday?

Posted on 29 Apr 2012 19:10:25 BDT
if you have ordered an item on friday the 27th and selected nextday delivery unfortunately your in the same boat as me. our orders delivery paperwork was not completed by amazon on time so the delivery company could not start processing our orders for delivery this affected over 3000 orders however amazon had on the sunday 28th given the paperwork for the parcels to city sprint which is known as manifest so on sunday it staes on all 3000 orders delivery manifest processed due to this error amazon extended my amazon prime for an additional month for free i suggested you try to get yours extended for free ring amazon on 0844 545 6508

City Sprint is quite dodgy. If they can't deliver something till 6pm they just setting status to 'Delivery attempted' even if you was sitting all day home.

Surprisingly I've had no problem with CS so far - whenever I order next day delivery they always deliver at 7am the next morning without fail. It's HDNL which cause me pain.

In reply to an earlier post on 7 May 2012 12:33:23 BDT
David says:
On a positive note that is good. I think the underlying problem is that these courier companies can't handle the volume of orders for delivery. They rely on on a shifting workforce who are paid probably the minimum wage. CS,Yodel and HDNL don't have the infrastructure that Royal Mail has and the economies of scale that such a large delivery network has to offer.

Only had Citysprint once and that was purely out of curiosity, as I usually just rely on my Amazon Prime account for items to arrive the next day. The tracking didn't work, and only updated after the item arrived. It did come within the allocated time slot, however.
