I'm at my wits end with the 'Believers' in the 'Bible-Fact Or Fiction?' discussion, so I'm gonna pop by here if that's ok with you guys?

Maybe a spot of decorating, but it'll more than likely be a spot of PlayStation! The book thing sounds good, I've got a few to catch up on and whilst I'm reading, I'll probably pig out on snacks on an industrial scale!

my current annoying thing is South West trains and their need to announce at EVERY station as the train enters, is stationary, and leaves, the next calling points for the entire journey. Plus that there is apparently a GAP between the train and platform edge at EVERY DAMN STATION that we must avoid. Plus we must keep our belongings with us at all times and not hand them out to strangers. Then the guard comes on the megaphone and repeats all this in an undecipherable voice and at 3 million watts.
And what is this 'suspicious behaviour' that you have to report to a member of staff? If you can find one?
Its health and safety gone mad and I know they have to do it, and I know they fear getting sued as we are becoming more paranoid over that. And I know some people who are blind would benefit from this. As well as the drunk and careless and stupid. But the vast majority of sane sensible people, the constant barrage of announcements is just annoying and can and should be reduced. As the vast majority of us get on a train and...get this...KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOING! Yes, we don't need reminding 20 times for a 7 stop journey!! We would rather you added more seats and clean toilets and made the people who insist on eating smelly food while talking loudly on their phones for ages, sit in a carriage all together, than bombard us with incessant massages.
Anyone agree? Or have I opened a can of huge worms?
Rant over, thankyou :-)

I am with you on this. It is the same on the buses and tube. although not the gap thing. Every bus stop announced and also constant reminders that buses no longer accept cash. The mobile phone thing drives me mad, along with the smelly food (go ahead dump the wrappers on the seat!) and as I said the other day - Woman on bus with her child throwing up on the floor - did she get off the bus at the next stop! NO she stayed on the bus. then, this week, another woman on the bus digging around in her son's nose flicking the contents on the floor. YUCK - Just YUCK!!

I'm something of a nut freak! Tesco did a gorgeous 'Hoi Sin' flavoured nut but they haven't had any for a few weeks! I think I'll put the decorating on hold though, SL, because my friend and confidant left work for another job today and I'm a bit sad! That's not why I'm putting the decorating on hold though, I'm going to get him a 'farewell' card and put a verse inside (which I've got to compose yet)! I'm not terribly good at 'goodbyes'!

I rarely say good bye, a friend of mine asked me why this was as he got on the plane. I told him that although we would not be together, wherever in the world we were, we were still friends.
If its a lady I would say I will still love you. There you go.

Yeah, cheers Anthony! He's a good mate, a great Dad to his kids, a good Husband and the little Brother that I never had. We'll definitely be staying in touch!
