take in to account the number of deliveries that are made by amazon and the number of complainers on here and you have your answer as to why amazon continue to you CityLink/Yodel/DHL/HDNL/Royal Mail.. etc etc.

Never used to have any probs with city link until they closed the local depot..
Their nearest depot now is at least 1 hour from my house.
Waited for a delivery for two weeks, a while back now which never arrived, when i phoned to inquire about it i was told it was in their depot and i had to wait till they were delivering in my area!!!!

Never had a problem with any deliveries from Amazon/City link. Be careful what you wish for. You could end up with Yodel and that's a whole new ball game, believe me.....

I have had 2 deliveries via City Link one for amazon and one for a grocery delivery company called Rosspa in both cases I received an excellent service so I think it depends which depot serves your area. I am served by a depot in Fife yet do not live there as my area does not have a depot because the depot was closed down but I do get the best service through the Royal Mail.

Totally agree. City Link and rubbish, have wasted so much of my time and are very unhelpful on the phone

Ordered goods at 8.30pm on Tuesday night, despatched from Milton Keynes via City Link at 10.15pm, delivered to my house in Aberdeen 3pm on Wednesday. I would have said thats pretty good service from both Amazon and City Link!!

D. Coleman says:
Delivery companies and their employees are under pressure to provide good service, deliver on time and within profit margins. It's easy to be critical from an armchair. It's unlikely that alternative providers can provide a vastly different service. Asking Amazon not to use a particular company is surely at best likely to alter things in the smallest of ways and at worst result in job losses for individuals who in the main do a good job. Overall, based on my experience, I think the Amazon proposition is difficult to beat.

F. Rogerson says:
I would like the opportunity to choose the delivery company at the point of ordering through amazon so that I could avoid using CITY LINK, as I have had several problems with them leaving cards to say no one is in but not ringing bell or using door knocker (which alerts entire street!). Their web site says they cannot leave parcel without a signature unless supplier give authority, but with multiple amazon deliveries how do you know which supplier to contact and how to contact them. CITY LINK had no answer to this. A choice at time of ordering would help as some companies give good service in some areas as shown by this corespondance. Please amazon - the ball is in your court -thanks in anticipation!

Wholly agree, CityLink don't tell the truth. Amazon should look elsewhere as they are damaging Amazon's reputation.

We have always found City-Link to be spot on with their deliveries. No complaints whatsoever.

Not happy with CITY LINK. Even their driver said it was the worst company he had ever worked for!
When you phone you can't talk to a person, just a machine with limited options, but even then that system fails.
I "agreed" on the phone to collect from depot (> 30 miles away) only to find that the driver was sitting outside my house whilst I was in Warrington! Neither of us was happy!! Plus the stress (not to mention petrol cost) of driving 30 mls up the M6 on a Friday!!
I will definitely sign your petition!

A Williams says:
City Link need to recognise "Customer Service" in the terms of its clients customers, rather than simply it's clients like Amazon.
My heart sinks everytime I discover that an item I have purchased is being delivered by City Link, to the point that a retailers choice of courier is now a factor in any of my buying decisions.

AGREE, I have actualy lost count of the amount of time they have failed to deliver.. anywhere work/friends/ home.. they are useless, I cant beileve Amazon still use them! it is ruining AMAZONS name, and having spoken to customer service on every ocassion they agree?

gadgetuser says:
agree, absolute Garbage ! they have let me down so many times, I have actually lost count, EVERY TIME regardless of where they are supposed to deliver. City Link are destroying the Amazon name, and Amazon customer services have agreed. I have no idea why Amazon keep them on, it must be costing Amazon a fortune in refunds and wasting customer services time.

waited outside all day, washed the car and van, painted the garage door, then sat on the step as it was a birthday present for my grandson.they never came near, when i checked my amazon account i found i had been refunded the cost of my order as it had been classed as undeliverable, not the first time with citylink, there rubbish, never had a problem with royal mail after 26 years at my address

Salbo says:
If I find out a vendor is using City Link I would try and find someone else to buy it from. Only in an emergency would I use them. I have had nothing but trouble from them from not turning up when they say they will, giving far too large a delivery window and getting hold of them to ask them to deliver on a day convenient to me. Far too much time and trouble.

Most people Amin? 120 posts. That's not most! Anyway moving on. I simply do not understand why people have delivery problems. You guys must be doing something wrong. I like many many Amazon customers will not risk buying from other on line retailers. No problems with any of them. I bet it's not always the carriers fault anyway. i.e. Amazon do make mistakes as well you know. Amazon should just give a bit to all of them.

In reply to an earlier post on 18 Apr 2012 14:41:29 BDT
I agree. With thousands of items posted every year, 120 complaints is pretty good. And like you say, they can't all be down to City-Link.
Mistakes happen in all walks of life. Seems like a minority have it in for a certain carrier.

Citylink are total cowboys and i would nwere use them by choice. Even stole a phone that was being delivered by them for dialaphone once.
