i get my kicks wading through Amazon Warehouse Deals for recipe books - always something I can't live without! Last one was Two Greedy Italians eat italy - great - and I have just found Nigel Slater's Tender II at a bargain price! Anny S

I love The Hairy Bikers they are so funny and I love the passion they have for northern cuisine. I just wish They'd cook with good old fashioned 1lbs and oz or even american cups. I still cant get to grips with kg and g's and that puts me off a little. lbs I can picture kgs I have to weigh and that really irritates me.

Am looking forward to Barefoot contessa though I've just ordered a few more of her books and may be ordering fool proof you'll have to keep us posted x

My favorite dishes are from Barefoot at home and they are: Frozen Berries with hot white chocolate, Beatty's Chocolate cake, lemon Yogurt cake, her coconut cake is really nice but not the best I've tasted it still needs a little tweeking I think its the almond extract in it that I don't like. Jalapeno cheddar cornbread is really really yummy but... I struggle to find Cornmeal/ Polenta in its dry form here. Warm duck salad is superb. the pesto pea salad is to die for Her honey white bread is nice but I prefer the british one where there is more honey and no sugar. The Tri-berry muffins are my all time favourite and so is the breakfast fruit crunch this makes a wonderful sunday breakfast/ lunch or desert its so good. I have baked so much out of this book but I have to be honest and say although I do like a lot of her savoury dishes I am a little old school and less adventurous meat and veg, stew and dumplings, roast dinners with yorkshires girl. saying that I am loving Goks and Ching He Huang's chinese cook books which is my new play ground at the moment.
Barefoot cook book my favourites are: fresh fruit tart, lime curd tart are really refreshing, home made granola, raspberry corn muffins, curried cous cous and roasted tomato and basil soup lentil soup is also devine.

Which ones have you got and which can you recommend?
