Mum is trying very hard to put a positive spin on everything and be supportive to everyone, but sadly she is not coping. The last 10 months has just become too much for her.

What? Families can be so difficult Scarlet. You cannot go through your life trying to appease people, your life will be misery! I was not allowed to my sisters funeral...that is how people get "Back" at you. then He says She didn't want me there either. Cheap! He thinks that I am flinging myself around in wild grief...sad for him because I'm not. Life goes on and if that's how it is, that's how it is. I have memories and those are mine. If he could take a can opener to my head he would, to take them away but he can't.xx

Well you want to get yourself together hun! Why feel like that. People only have power over you if you let them! You give them permission to make you feel bad. Stand up straight and say" to hell with it. This is me! I am a good person!" Over the years I have learnt alot and people like power...it is up to you if you give it to them. It is in their interest to keep you down, it feeds insecurities. Make this year different Scarlet. One of the best lessons I learnt a long time ago is ..not everyone is going to like you...it's ok! You don't need to prove anything, I learnt that no matter what you do it's never enough...so stop! And remember you are as important as everyone else..not more and not less. You owe to yourself and your close ones to be happy and spending time with negative people is a wasted energy. While you are doing that life is passing you by! Phew...want your soapbox back Bearman!Lol!x

I used to have a friend who excused her bluntness (rudeness) by saying she was from Doncaster. Her most devastating remarks were always prefaced with, "I'm not being funny but..." and you knew that the next thing you heard would definitely *not* be funny, but uncalled for and hurtful. Odd that those who pride themselves on being "blunt and upfront" can't handle it from others. And Bear, you're right, there comes a time when kid gloves become a doormat. I too dislike it when people force you to put your foot down because of *their* consistently selfish behaviour, and then suddenly *you* are in the wrong.

But that's how it works Ori...The attacker becomes the victim! Then everyone runs around trying to make it right, you are left feeling like a heel! It's another way of keeping control.
I am very even tempered, placid and always try to see both sides. It takes along time for me to get annoyed but when I do I have to let rip. Being a Virgo I am a peace loving person and I don't go looking for conflict.

I have part time children that came as a package deal with the other half. Apparently I'm not allowed to beat them - which is a good thing as one is 6ft3 and the other 6ft6! Luckliy they listen to me - when they wont listen to their biological parents, and I derive no pleasure from that (really none at all, honest, snigger snigger)

Have to clean my office today. We had people over for lunch and I needed my little auxiliary table to put the extra bits on (beverage bottles, dessert plates etc.) So there's no way out, everything is everywhere. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHGHHHH!

Oh you both were such a help, got done a lot quicker than I expected. Stu I hope that box didn't hurt, falling on your foot like that. All I need to do now is triage some old papers and chuck the lot in the recycle bin.
