Ok, I went in the Polish shop here and bought some smoked sausage but found the skins really tough. I'm not sure if you're supposed to boil them?

oh Pixie, I am another member of the Bill Grainger fan club

He's gorgeous both inside and out. It's a real shame he doesn't do more TV

It's a bad idea tempting me with his book though. I might just have to give in and help support Bill and his family

Bearman says:
Of course, start with the lasagne and finish with the panettone :-)

In reply to an earlier post on 6 Feb 2014 10:28:47 GMT
This is a cultured and very erudite forum - Bearman - having a spirit / soul that is Italian - will serve to make you more than likely a person who loves Wine and Food and good company - which is self evident from your posts
I am returning to Shakespeare to comment on our Forum as Will did on Cleo
"Age does not weary ..... nor custom stale our infinite variety - .... now we are always cooking nice things - sharing recipes Does anyone know who first said the Slogan on Marks and Spencer carriers - it is "There is no love more sincere than the love of food" I cannot find the quote - who can help ??

I would give my right arm to live in Italy. The food, the climate, the sexy men. What's not to love

Posted on 6 Feb 2014 11:59:17 GMT
Perhaps the fact that those sexy men are often very, very jealous minded. That's not terribly lovable as traits go.

I was going through some of Madhur J's reviews and had to laugh at people who seem to equate a cookbook with a novel. They seemed to want story over recipes!! It's for using, not for setting on a shelf and ahhing over. At least that's what I buy them for.
I'm glad I checked the reviews, seems that Ms. Jaffrey has done an Agatha Christie--reissued same books under different titles. That's naughty, particularly when it's in the same country of issue.
