Why have you needed a succession of these? At the price quoted I would expect it to last forever.

Does it do juicing ?

Bought a Thermomix about 10 days ago, berlimy! Its fantastic !! Having fun.............made chicken noodle soup, cheese scones, orange cake, Yorkshire puddings, yogurt and today made orange and lemon sorbet, thoroughly enjoying it. There are social media pages that have Thermomix users posting and sharing recipes which is extremely helpful (have learned loads !) So all in all. Really pleased with it, no regrets.

B. Sheilds, it doesn't juice in the conventional way, but it can grind up whole fruit and veg into a liquid. It results in a thicker texture because you are not wasting the pulp, but you can thin it down with water or just partially grind and pour through the internal steaming basket to strain it.

Pixie / Bearman, just to convince you how good it is, my husband is considering getting an additional machine. Having had mine for over 2 years now, he finally paid attention to it in action this weekend when we made 5 cakes. He was so impressed that he wants one of his own now, lol.

Maggie you are clearly cruel and heartless to dangle the thermomix in front of my lustful eyes. My only consolation is knowing that Pixie will be suffering with me.

Its been a long time since anyone posted here, so I thought I would give this thread a bump just for Pixie. Here is George Calombaris doing a Thermomix demo

H was having one of his hospital days, so I was wandering around the shops and went into a 'cash converter'. They had several secondhand Thermomixes. I didn't realize that they've been around a while, and that there were different versions. They had two which had the bowl at the front with the machine wrapped around from both sides and another that looked more like a food processor. All were around the 600€ mark.

Hell no woman - I've just been booking a ticket to Portugal. Sadly Thomas Cook didn't have a cash converters package deal, but I'm sure I'll cope.

I've seen them around that price in our local CC too. Still too expensive for us. I'd love to have one, but.

Hey Pixie? PIXIE!!

Did you hear - Thermomix have just launched a new model, the Thermoxox TM5:

Haven't yet worked out how different the specs are, but it now has a colour touch screen and a new recipe "chip" feature where you can get chips preloaded with recipes, and it not only displays these on the screen and walks you through the recipe step by step, but they all set or the controls for you.

Christmas is coming soon........

And then it will eat the food and bill you for the ingredients...
