I bought a Kerchar window cleaner...one of the best things ever! Lo and behold they are selling the extension pole and attachments now! I live in a very old cottage and condensation is a pain....this cleans and drys the windows brilliantly!

Pixie, I'd never seen one of them before, it looks fantastic. I have a really bad condensation problem and that looks ideal.

I'm amazed at the amount of water that comes off the windows, and no streaks.

I don't use mine had it for over a year. It was ok for the first few months then it started leaving streaks on the windows, meaning i have to use a microfibre cloth and vinegar anyway so i just dont see the point to me using it. I don't live in an old cottage my windows are double glazed so don't get that condensated

I have used it in the bathrooms on tiles after showers and it's great for that but don't like it for windows. I'v noticed also the dogs hairs get caught in-between the blades. And no matter how many times I clean it it still finds some form of debree stuck in there

Talk about silly gadgets........on a whim, I bought some plastic fish (the type they put in those bubble lamps) for my sous vides set up, which is in a small glass aquarium. Call me childish, but it really made me smile seeing little tropical fish swimming around the pork fillet we cooked sous vides yesterday.

Sounds like something I would do, Bear. I still haven't figured out how a sous vide is in an aquarium! But I love the idea.

The sous vides bit was a Christmas present. It is a water heater/circulator/controller, that sits over the side of any container, going below the water line. I found a small cube shaped aquarium that is 25cm on each side, and is ideal for the sous vides. originally I was looking for polyproylene balls to float on the water surface as a way of reducing evaporation, and while looking, I saw these plastic floating fish for sale and ordered them. I never bought the balls as they were far too expensive. Instead I just cut a piece of perspex to fit the top leaving a hole for the sous vides machine and it looks great. I must admit that gaudy plastic fish are not my normal style, but what the heck!

I laughed when my husband bought me one and thought it would stay in the drawer, but the avocado slicer ROCKS. I use it all the time!

Oh WOW ! I like - a person could make their own Mango Puree and fix some Water Ice - watchamacallit - otherwise you have to buy a darned great tin of it - and the Avocado slicer - NEAT !!!

Just to let you know that I (and perhaps to a greater extent) my daughter won Mrs Johnson's Internet Flapjack competition!! The good news is that we get a signed copy of Deb's book, the bad news is that if all the recipes are as nice as the flapjack we are in trouble! ...should I have put 6 stone on in 3 weeks?

@Mrs. D K. Johnson - can't wait for the next competition!
