Soreen sticky malt loaf?

If you love it too you must try this recipe from good food

http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1411653/sticky-malt-loaves

This is the real deal! I can't tell you just how good this is!

Rayners Essentials Org Malt Extract 340g This can be bought in health shops or Holland and Barrett.

You won't be disappointed with this recipe, it goes gooey and sticky and lush. I didn't have two 1lb loaf pans so used 1 loaf tin 2lb! It turned out fab! I managed to buy a second pan today so I will make two next time as the recipe says it freezes well...try it!

Don't be so cruel. I wouldn't dare make it, as I'd eat the lot, it would never get to the freezer.

Ohhh, malt extract - take me back to my childhood having Cod Liver Oil and Malt off a spoon...Also had Cod Liver Oil tablets but used to sneak these to the cat. My Mother couldn't understand why the cat loved, and followed, me around.....Going on the hunt for the Banana loaf now, after all these raves.

Yes finny! So excited! You can tell I don't get out much Lol!

Been doing loads of research to see what has moved on in the "Microwave World"...I haven't had one for quite a few years so it's been interesting finding out.

I even found a site for Dough model making. Great for crafters!

Microwave Dough Craft Great fun for fundraising and kids to get involved.

How are you today....good?x

finny lul says:
I'm good, thanks. I dry excess herbs from the garden, make single pots of jam, melt chocolate, etc, in my microwave. Had a bit of hit and miss with this, when I first started, as the (strawberry) jam looked too thin, so kept adding another few seconds. left it to cool with the spook in the jar and then couldn't get it out, as it had gone solid, and I mean solid. Couldn't put it back in the microwave because of the metal! I think they're especially good if you're doing for just one person. I did try making bread dough dolls, but I'm not very artistic.....You didn't say which one you'd bought?
