I had a pretty wonderful meal at Le manoir in Oxfordshire, but the chippy at olney( where they have the annual pancake races)is to die for. I don,t think northants is exactly teeming with memorable restaurants these daysso my choices are limited, perhaps someone will put me right. The pheasant at keystone used to have a good rep, as did the Talbot at oundle but I,m not sure nowadays, don,t eat outs much as I would like too! Xxxxxcarole

Morning!

It's nice inside, you can sit on a huge fancy cushion on the floor if you want to as they have the very low tables for the authentic feel! Some nice food in there. The people who run it are Egyptian I think. Comically I find that any middle easterners who come in sit at the tables and the english sit on the floor!

Kimos in Liverpool is a middle eastern place that the daughter loves. I've been there a couple of times and had some nice food like the lamb mendy which is lovely.

Mind you I don't like the sound of the Russian salad :(

"Can't stand spelling Nazi's."

That should be Nazis without the apostrophe.

What?

ACV is lovely Scarlet but very acidic! It alledgedly has loads of health benefits too. I buy it in 1ltr bottles from here. Ahh who cares about spelling? As long as folk know what other folks mean its all good. Can't stand spelling Nazi's. My daughter's one! She's doing an Eng Lit degree and picks everyone up on grammar, spelling. Does my head in! :)

Chippy-wise it's got to be The Lobster Pot in Liverpool city centre. Always packed to the hilt after 11pm. Fish and chips are gorgeous!
