Frenchie says:
A bit late to answer to you Scarly, sorry. Well, I am not sure but someone had a go at SuzyS. in the book thread for chatting too much, can you believe it? but I thought Suzy was mad at me because I played Headmistress in another thread (well, you know, I rose above my station) ... but she was not and I could not know that. It is quite funny when you look back (not for SuzyS. though)

p.s. the good news is that my boy does not have to go into hospital until thursday. They don't have a bed, so, he'll carry on the oral antibiotics until then, unless he is getting really bad before that and they'll have to find him a bed, no matter what.

Hi FB. Long time no speak. I've probably missed a crucial post, but I hope your lad isn't as bad as things sound, and if he is, I hope his hospital visit is brief and successful. XX

Yes, French, along with Crookedmouth, and everybody else, my thoughts are with you. Wishing you the best.

Frenchie says:
Thank you. We are going on Thursday. We will probably stay for 2 weeks, as usual. He usually does two or three sojourns a year in the hospital. No, thanks God, this time, he is not as bad as last time. Thank you for your thoughts. He is a fighter, and he knows he is well loved. I am very proud of my boy (ex. 25 weeks premie) . Hugs to all.

We have our own little miracle child in our family too, French x
Her Mum was told the pregnancy simply wasn't viable and strongly advised to terminate but she refused pointblank and hung on to hope. She was born at 22 weeks, and again, was offered very limited care within the Baby Unit, they even withdrew treatment - as she was not expected to survive even the birth or live beyond it - but she did!!!

She had 4 major operations in her first year, and it is apparent that she has been born with some kind of genetic syndrome which has yet to be categorized. She is completely deaf and has some sight issues and also has a permanent feeding tube fitted - as she cannot tolerate, and is simply not interested in real food. She also struggles to walk but never lets it stop her either. She is 4 years old now and still managing to thrive regardless, bringing such incredible joy to everyone.

We do not know how she will turn out as she's grows up, or what the future holds for her - not even if she has one, but we take every day, just one day at a time and never stop thanking God for her! She is bright, hysterically funny, hyperactively exhausting(!) - utterly adorable!!! We have a saying in our family - "E.... will be, what E.... will be, and that is up to E....!!!" You are not alone, Poppet. All my love and very best wishes to you - X ! and to your own precious little one - X !
