DH gave me an Oster ricecooker/steamer
a protective glove to use with the mandoline
and I just bought myself a bunch of standardised measuring spoons and cups, all together on a plastic "keychain" so they can't get lost.
I wasn't intending to, but they had cutters on the back of the cups (for icing or bento stuffs!) and the full set of cups and spoons was only 10 Euros. Brighty, cheery plastic colours.

Did you give your kitchen anything for Christmas this year?

An anonymous glass-jug cafetiere that looks exactly like this one but only cost about £3 from Waitrose (impulse 'bargain' buy).

Much cheaper even than a replacement jug for a similar one that the lawnmower tried to eat last year.

Maybe you should pour coffee on your lawn? LOL

I was given a Kitchenaid cordless hand blender with all the bits and pieces to go with it! very fancy......I only hope I can use it enough to do it justice. Having said that, I think I will be able to do away with my jug blender, my hand whisk and my little Braun hand blender, all of which I have had for years so I am very pleased with my new toy.xxxx
