I believe it was called "A Small Problem", it was the next thing Christopher Ryan did after "The Young Ones", based on Britain being subject to an Apart hieght regime, which , under the old system of measuring in feet and inches, he was classed as tall, yet under metrication , he was now a "short". Probably a pile of cack, but I recall it was quite cleverly written. That and "Chance In A Million".

I bought the same disks from someone on E-Bay. Funny how we accepted the poor quality of VHS.

Agree with both these.. I saw Mike McShane and Sandi Toksvig doing a play on stage, about a theatre manager who gambles the box office takings on a horse race, so he and Sandi Toksvig have to do the whole show themselves. It was good, but Ive no idea what it was called.

I would love Happy Families, a comedy series from the eighties to be available on dvd....it stars jennifer saunders playing all four sisters aswell as granny fuddle, the hideous matriach. It also stars ade edmonson as the hapless guy, sent on the task of re-uniting the family......It is absolutely brilliant and I can't seem to get it anywhere......it also has star turns from dawn french, jim broadbent, stephen fry as the bonkers doctor and rik mayall as a depraved priest

why oh why have the BBC released the new shooting stars on dvd but none of the old ones ?!! what about marc lamarr !! what about the sweaty fox, johnny vegas and wil self ?!
come on sort it out......everyone watching the new ones will buy the dvd's , without question.....well I 'd love to anyway.....this is classic comedy and vic and bob have influenced loads of new comedies...like the mighty boosh for instance (which I also love ) but they were the originals.
