Have you a list of kindle picture books that you can recommend?
Especially so if the illustrations are of good quality.
My little ones love me to read to them on my laptop so we get to see them in colour.
Here are some we love;
Little Chick's First Day! (A Children's Picture Book for ages 2 - 6)
"A Little Bear Behind..." (A Children's Picture Book for ages 3-6)
The Adventures of Treeman; Treeman Sees Everything. (A Children's Picture Book)
Hairy, Scary Spider? (A Children's Picture Book for ages 2-5)

New childrens book Henry the Horse by author Eric Pullin makes for a lovley little story with full colour illustrations. It is written in simple verse style. There is not many Horsey stories out there, so may be something different to read.

The Adventures of 'Lashes' The Very Last Lumble

This is the newest childrens book on Kindle and brilliant..
A fab, magical story about a lovely creature called a Lumble, her adventures and all her woodland friends.
It's also beautifully illustrated by Mandy Shepherd (daughter of wildlife artist David) Lots of gentle messages for us all and lovely language, not over-powering but stretching enough for children...lots of magical elements too, to keep you guessing.
Would be great for any child 3 upwards (even my 24 year old grandson listened to me reading it in the background) and I'm a great grandmother and loved it too...can't recommend it highly enough
Roll on 'The Weeping Forest' which I gather will be out in a few months...but please don't miss this first book - it will be your loss

We've all read it in the family and already waiting for the next installment..

We love Hairy, Scary Spider? too, as well as Pipsy the Pnguin, both by Paula McBride.
My three year old tries to make Hairy Spider's 'scary face' with spinning eyes as well, so funny!
The pictures are simple, colourful and expressionate.
We've not read Slippy the Slimy Slug yet though, so are off to buy it - thanks.

We're enjoying 'The Great Anwen Sheep Singing Contest'. It's like a sheep X factor!
Really sweet with a simple message to encourage young ones too.
The illustrations have a 3D quality and really make the story.
My little ones love the dancing sheep.
Oh! and we keep reading it with a Welsh accent!

To Wee or Not To Wee? That is the Question
Some cute illustrations though not really a picture book. Good that they managed to sneak an environmental message in too. Popular in our house.

In My Dreams The Unicorn

I have really loved this book because of the colours. This is what I wrote about it (I am not that professional for writing reviews but I try my best to convey my feelings) :

In My Dreams the Unicorn, feature beautiful drawings of Flitter, the Unicorn, how she takes to the sky at night and of a little girl. It has 7 pages. The text is very simple, two lines per page, big font and it is in rhymes too.
I spotted it when it was promoted for free. I downloaded it because the synopsis was very vague, and did not mention that it is a picture book, age range 0-3. If it was not a Kindle book, I would imagine it as a baby board book. As it is, it is too young for my children but my daughter loves it for the drawings as she is a little artist herself.
So, if you have little children, I think they will like this as a bedtime story. What makes it so sweet are the drawings. Be aware that it is read in one/two minutes, so, have another book handy, if needs be.
It is best read from an Ipad or a laptop, as on Kindle, the pictures are only black and white.
