Lost children's book from early 90s

I have been searching I had a book about 20 years ago, it was a hard back childrens book full of different stories. It was A4 size and very heavy about 1.5-2inches thick of the most beautiful illustrations. The front cover had a light blue background and in the middle was a large picture of a family of 3 brown bears in their dressing gowns slippers etc sitting on chairs. I can not remember the name of the book I am sure it had the words "bedtime stories" in the title that was perhaps yellow text at the top of the book cover. I remember a distinct story about some creature that lived in the woods and its name either began with a W or something like tw.... There were about 5 stories about this certain creature in the book along with so many many more and trees come to mind and forest woodland when thinking about that certain story. Not a lot to go on but someone out there may just no what i am going on about. the book does exist i just wish i could find it.
