My 13 year old son NEVER reads and its an up hill battle, however he read Stone Cold by Robert Swindells and LOVED IT! Can anyone recommend any book you think he might enjoy?

Hi, you could try the Barrington Stoke books; Prisoner in Alcatraz by Theresa Breslin is one I know works well. And Safe by Kate Hanney is used in schools to engage teenage reluctant readers. This author has a new book out as well called Watermelon; that might be just what you're looking for?

What about Blackout or something with a 'dystopian' edge like The Maze Runner, Unwind or I Am Number Four. Might he also enjoy something WW2 resistance based like Resistance, set in Norway?

How about others by Robert Swindells - if he's interested in WWII for instance he could try Blitzed. Otherwise how about Louis Sachar's Holes. Or even maybe try someone like Tim Bowler or (although they are aimed at a bit younger than 13) Robert Muchamore's Henderson Boys or Cherub series?
