Hi - I downloaded The Sceptre of Zamafiar recently for my kids but I read it myself lol. It's set in another world, lots of magic and different creatures and races as well as humans, wizards and the evil sorceress! I think you can download it for free this weekend at http://www.amazon.com/The-Sceptre-of-Zanafiar-ebook/dp/B0072W4C6W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331890339&sr=8-1

Try Children Of The Realm by W.L. James. Its an exciting adventure about children growing up in America with magical powers.

I can thoroughly recommend 'Mike Miller, Son of Pendragon,' by Josh Rogan. It's a magical romp around England, Romania and a fair slice of the globe, and it manages to be contemporary but also has a hint of things Arthurian here and there. It's a great laugh too. You can find it here: Mike Miller and the Warlocks of Bucharest

I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did, it having been recommended to me by a nephew I don't particularly care for! (Full disclosure ... )

When I miss a book, I just re-read it :) from Harry Potter to Lord of the Ring via the Hobbit or Time Riders, I must have read them 10 times, not too mention the new books. And I think my children are following in my footsteps. It is lovely to have a book lovers family :)

the last 7 books I downloaded for the children (of course, as a dedicated mum, I have to sacrifice myself and read them :) :):) *huge smile* )

The Sceptre of Zanafiar I have not had time to read it yet (next on my list)

The 13th Doorway just finished it. It is a fantastic book. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Waiting now for the sequel

Runeweaver (Circle of Dreams #1)Timeweaver (Circle of Dreams #2)Starweaver (Circle of Dreams #3) by Linda Mc Nabb - this is a wonderful series. I have enjoyed the 3 books and that has prompt me to buy more from the author.

Brian, His Granddad & The Cup of Ages I am reading it now, and it is really excellent so far. I can't wait to have my ''me'' time and make my nice cup of coffee and carry on reading.

so no need really to miss good old Harry:)
