We are flying in October. Will be the 4th time for our son on this route. It more easy when he was a baby!
Good luck with the flight...and the twins in general, I know how hard it can be!

Hi Soidog,
I feel so much relieve now, SQ really has good name for people flying with infants :) I am really looking forward to my journey in September. And you, when are you flying to Thailand?

We are flying with SQ with twins later in the year too! Ours will be 10 months old, oh and our almost 3 year old son...should be fun.
I booked with Singapore because of their bassinets and previous good experiences with them. We are travelling to Thailand, so this makes the flight longer, plus an extra stop, but feel it should be worth it.
Can go direct with Thai or Eva, but they have the smaller bassinets, so no good for us.
What month are you travelling? Would be funny to have another set of twins on the same flight :)

I've flown several different airlines with my girls and basinets are usually for up to approx 11kgs. They are great for storing your things in if the babies are not in them! Take a spare top/change of clothes for yourself (as well as the usual for the kids!) It gets messy in your small space on the plane and nice to look vaguely presentable after the flight

ive flown with Singapore airlines a few times with my little girl and they have been really friendly and helpful. and the bassinette was still just big enough for my girl at 14months and she's really big for her age so you'll probs be fine...good luck travelling with twins

Hi! SQ has one of the larger bassinets compared to other airlines. U can check their website for exact dimensions and weight limits. I flew with them from Singapore to uk and their service was impressive. They offered to carry my baby while I have my meals, have a toilet break or just a break in general. Did quite a bit of read up before flying with a tiny baby and they have have quite a consistent reputation for being mom friendly! :) was worried any screaming or crying baby on board but the staff were so reassuring and helpful! Btw they have great baby meals for yr little ones too. Just book it in advance and let them know u require them. Hope this helps!

I have flown Singapore Airlines and the staff are very good, friendly, helpful and I would imagine baby friendly. The only thing I would be concern is the babies might not fit in the bassinet. I flew with my baby with KLM to Malaysia when she was 7 months and she was just under the limit for the bassinet. She was reaching the whole length of the bassinet and she's not particularly a long baby. Actually, KLM states to use the bassinets, they must be under 65cm or under 6 months old. Most airline bassinets would fit a baby up to 6 months old, very few airlines have bassinets for older babies. Best check with the airline as most airlines will have a max length of baby and weight to use the bassinet. The other option is to purchase seats for them but otherwise you can sit them on your lap which is hard with twin babies on a long haul flight. Seats are not compulsory for under 2 years of age. Good luck and have a fun holiday.

Hi,

Anyone has experience flying Singapore airlines with babies? How baby friendly is this airline? The seats I have reserved are with basisnet. Are they good enough for 11 months old?

Thank you!
