The one that immediately comes to mind is Street fighter: the legend of chun li. Cannot find the words to adequately describe just how cack this abomination truely is. It's the only time I've ever bought a blu ray and then immediately the film finished I took the disc out of the player, snapped it in half (and nearly took my eye out in the process lol) and threw it in the bin.

As for your list Arthur, I agree with some disagree with others being poor. I'll reply properly later when I have more time.

Spiderman 3 was one of the worst sequels I've seen for a good while; Ocean's Twelve was awful too (though 13 was better)

Blastronaut says:
I too, agree and disagree with stuff on that there list, but one that I agree on 100% is Judge Dredd.
Dredd minus the helmet? WTF??
Always loved Stallone, but not for this. Why couldn't they've got some nondescript actor to do it, y'know, someone who wouldn't mind the helmet staying on?
Used to be an avid fan of 2000AD many moons ago and that film was an insult to it's good name imo; so many lost opportunities.

The Remake of the Omen. Total cack

Posted on 3 May 2012 19:51:03 BDT
A another version of Judge Dredd is due... Karl Urban is in it and apparently he keeps the helmet on althrough the film.

Not seen the remake of The Omen and don't think I'll bother.

'Halloween 2'-completely pointless.
'Howling 2'-all parts as awfully offensive as it was offensively awful and pointless beyond all non-meaning and just WHY??!!
'The Omen 2'-leave that classic to stand on its own.
'The Never Ending Story-Part 2'.
'The Descent-Part 2'.
All 'Amityville's' past the brilliant No.2, and actually, the original one was a dreadfully insipid, fright-free bore, so the remake could only improve!
'Hellraiser III'-so embarrassingly MTV and childish.
'House III'-basic 'Shocker' retread an even worse.
'The Hills Have Eyes' sequel to the Wes Craven original.
The straight-to-dvd 'Hitcher 2' & 'The Lost Boys 2'.
'Scream 3'.
'Piranha 2: Flying Fish'.
Piranha 3D'-so junk-filled it'd wouldn't make a chumless chum.
'Sleepy Hollow 2'-if you can call that a sequel.
Every 'Alien' title beyond the cool Cameron helmed 'Aliens'-though I didn't rate the first one either.
All 'American Pie' titles.
All 'Zoolander' titles-including any in the making.
I couldn't include any post-'Friday The 13ths'-how can anyone rate their existence. The Voorhees 'character' is just Michael Myers
in anew mask-the whole point of the film was that he's a dead brat who's mother becomes the killer to avenge him. Dumb or what?
'Blair Witch 2: Book Of Shadows'-so laughable a 3rd never even arrived.
'Ginger Snaps' sequels-let the original stand on its own as it clearly does by their standard!
All 'Meet The Parents' titles following the painfully average and unspecial 1st attempt.
'Legally Blonde 2'. (I don't think comedies were meant to have sequels).
'Miss Congenality 2' (rpt...).

The remake of Hitchcock's "Psycho" with Vince Vaughan as Norman Bates begs the question...Why?

Equally, the remake of the classic Steve McQueen/ Sam Peckinpah "bank-robbery-gone-wrong-shotgun-fest" - "The Getaway" begs the same question!

"Escape From L.A." was pants compared to the brilliant "Escape From New York".

And finally & much as I hate to admit it, especially being a BIG George A. Romero fan, both "Diary Of The Dead" & "Survival Of The Dead" were major disappointments.

The remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's one of those films that just shouldn't be re-made, ever. You could never improve on the original.

I actually quite liked the remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". Jessica Biel's ass in those hipsters is worth the price of admission alone!

I didn't mind the remake of Texas Chainsaw either. The remake of Friday the 13th was ik too.

Mr A - I earlier asked if ya knew owt else about the new Dredd film. A reply would'a been nice, even if it was simply 'No'.

Hey Blastronaut.
Sorry for not replying to your post.
The new film is titled Dredd and is directed by Pete Travis.

I quite liked the Texas chainsaw massacre remake too, Friday the 13th remake however is all kinds of crap. It had some good ideas but the story just didn't make sense. We were supposed to believe that this kids parents had a house in the country for years and Jason never bothered them and then some how, one weekend this kid decides to take his mates there for the weekend Jason decides to turn up. Yeah ok.

Avatouir says:
Has nobody mentioned Men In Black 2 yet? utter balls trying too hard to recreate the first and messing up proper (3 thankfully looks a lot better)
Also Oliver Stones the Doors 9listen to the commentary and the director doesn't even know what song is playing -gash)
But worst for me is the Avengers. No not the current 3d film with Thor and Iron Man, that's quite good for what it is, I'm talking about the 99/2000 film based very loosely on a 60's TV show with completely different characters

Cheers Mr A. Apologies for grumbling; was 'under the influence' last night/this morn and was in a mood.
Here's hoping they make good with this un!

I'm suprised that most people seemed to enjoy Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Maybe because I thought the original was such a classic I never gave the remake a chance. I'll give it a watch again next time a see it on TV, and pay more attention to Jessica Biel's ass.

In reply to an earlier post on 5 May 2012 18:03:07 BDT
I liked the Remake, Jessica Biel was the best part but Leatherface using a sewing machine made me lol!!!
Original is better of course.

In reply to an earlier post on 5 May 2012 18:34:38 BDT
No worries.

George of the Jungle 2 (Why, just why?)
SAW 785 (or whatever number they are up to now)
Paranormal activity 2 (may aswell have gone into the security trade)
The Titanic 2 (There was only one titanic, how can it sink twice?)
The Human Centipede 2 (lets make people physically sick in the name of 'art')
Oceans 12 (really bad)
Any shrek after number 2 including puss in boots (cash cow running dry)
Any butterfly effect after the 1st one (deliberatly worse? To make Ashton Kutcher look good, ye, perhaps....)

Bourne1886 says:
Beverly Hills Cop 3-Awful.
War of the Worlds 2- With C. Thomas Howell, WTF happened there, made for about ten pence.
Halloween 2-Remake,what a mess.
Robocop 3- Ruined the Franchise.
Alien 3-such a disappointment after no.2 and a wasted opportunity.

All the above were pants with the slight exception of A3.

Blastronaut says:
Thought Alien 3 was a decent film and a pretty good way to round off the trilogy. Then they decided to do Alien Resurrection - which I thought was an ok film, just not up to the standard of the others.

Shoulda left it at a trilogy imo.
