Nice thread, only I hate to be pedantic but you can buy all of those three: Buy a house, buy some grass, cut the grass. Buy two cats cover them in catnip and set them free into garden. Buy some beverages.

How about that moment after working hours on a project and suddenly the computer crashes before you remember to save it. Overwhelmed with horror you boot it back up and find that the program has a autosave backup function.

Finding myself talking to the dullest person on earth at a party and unable to escape. Having my girlfriend spot my situation glides over and politely extricates me from the situation.

Also Kev money can buy you as many semi-naked women as you can afford,he who pays the piper calls the tune.I actually can't think of anything in life that money can't buy, after all that was what it was intended to do.And if you can't buy it you can rent it!! ;-)

You can't buy the woman you love to love you back.

Check the small print, she's not doing it for free, she wants something in return even if it's not a fiscal arrangement, security, commitment, fidelity,EVERYTHING in Life comes with a price tag,to quote Heinlein....TANSTAAFL!! :-)

You said you can't think of anything in life that money can't buy. I was just giving you an example of something money can't buy. So not everything comes with a price tag.

maybe ive confused some people, what the thread should have been i guess was, name some of the best things in life that are free, whether they can be bought (however long winded or pedantically)... :p

House still isn't finished yet, so just blitzing into the red on my account to buy stuff for it lol
Gone from 'be finished by end of Jan' 'end of March' 'do you have a date you want it finished by (aka we're just gonna take our time otherwise) >.<'

The smell of homemade bread baking in the oven.

My fave things would be ... after travelling for hours, getting home & having a hot bath, glass of wine and sleeping in my own bed. Dunno what it is, but hotel beds just never compare to your own.

Getting under the blanket, with a cup of coffee and junk food, and reading comics while it's raining. Only thing to do on grey days.

Getting a new book/game/series and being totally gripped by it. Sure you can buy it, but you can't buy being hooked and wanting to read/play/see more. Which equally makes the worst thing - really looking forward to something and it being a major disappointment.

Relaxing on a beach with cocktail in hand (AI of course lol), with no cares in the world. Getting to experience new things & places. It's always good for the 2 weeks it lasts before the monotony of life sets in once more !!

The relief of quitting working at a hellhole, knowing you'll never have to go back or see any of those people again :D

Getting a genuine compliment - might as well having something in the list you really can't pay for lol
