well its not before time as hes done just as much if not more than most for both stage and screen combined
Sir Ian McKellen has the same recognition as Stewart who has taken till now to be given something for his efforts - well done son !
I still think he plays the best Mr Scrooge

There was a comment in Time Out's review of "Star Trek: First Contact" (referring to the "line must be drawn here" scene) that I always think sums up Patrick Stewart's approach to acting very nicely: "Stewart, confronting his conscience, draws a sci-fi blockbuster audience into the intimacy of a fringe play." And it's absolutely true - he gives a script his all whether it was written by William Shakespeare or Brannon Braga :-)
