I did buy a movie that was made for TV once but i bought it on video, it was a true story, I think it was called "I Know My Name Is Steven" or something like that, as i said it was a true story about a young boy who was kidnapped in the USA at a young age and it followed his life until he was found as a teenager, fantastic movie but i dont know if you can buy it on DVD

There are a few others I would like to get, but they tend to be Lifetime or Hallmark films and not that easy to get over here ('The Russell Girl', for example, which I guess is at the top of my list).

I once bought a vhs tape called Threads, a bbc film about nuclear war, made in the early 80's, it was a bit grim but still good, i remember when it was shown on tv for the first time, half the nation watched it (the cold war was still happening back then), it was the talk of the playground at school. Not bought any others, got tv series though.

The greatest TV movie of all time was "Escape from Sobibor" starring Rutger Hauer and Joanna Pacula. The true story of a WWII nazi death camp and the eventual mass escape attempt. This was compelling, disturbing and full of suspense. If you have not watched this then it is a must and is available on dvd.
