I bought an Acer Aspire 5751 laptop from Amazon in December 2010. When I received the laptop a touchpad button was not working and Amazon replaced the laptop. After a few months I noticed the battery wasn't charging. I contacted Acer, but they said the battery was only covered for six months and if I returned the laptop to them I might have to pay for the repair. I then contacted Amazon, as the retailer, and without hesitation they offered me a full refund. I would definitely recommend Amazon, in fact I used the refund to purchase a Toshiba laptop from them, but I was less than impressed with Acer's after-sales service.
