bummer, i havent got mine yet, opted for the free delivery thinking i would get it a day late, why didnt i pay the 2£ first class?????? waited for the postman again 2day, he walked right past. sick as.
I have not received the game also, I've pre-order it on 25th of Oct. and i payed for first class delivery via Royal Mail....It should be delivered on 28th of Oct. But until now i have not seen anything :( .
Guys, I pre-ordered on the 22nd October, paid for first class and received an email stating estimated delivery as the day of release (28th.) After I got to Monday without a sign of the delivery, I contacted Amazon by email to complain. I received a response within an hour, and because I had pointed out that the package was past the stated 2 business days given for first class they refunded the postage. I was also told that I would then receive the package no later than the 2nd November (today.) Roll on Wednesday, and surprise, the postman whistles on down the road without a delivery! I contacted Amazon again, pointing out that as today was the 2nd, and no parcel had arrived, they had broken the guarantee. After being told that the standard time to await delivery was 8 days (this was a different person on the phone at Amazon) I highlighted the previous email response that I had in writing stating no later than the 2nd. The guy backed down, checked the email and after I said I wanted my money back immediately or a new copy to be sent, they have put through a refund for the full amount. I was told that they couldn't send another copy as they had run out! The guy I spoke to said as they couldn't track the parcel, there was no way of knowing if it had been lost or not. It may even show up later in the week....
Thursday and still not received. I was told by e-mail to wait till 5th November to claim a refund for my First Class shipping. Refund is a loss now , since I have to buy standard edition and pay for expansion pack later or buy the more expensive limited edition from another merchant.
Same scenario here, although I live outside of the UK. Delivery estimate was October 31 -- told to wait until November 5. So much for pre-ordering in order to get the B2K DLC.
As S.T. said: "Refund is a loss now , since I have to buy standard edition and pay for expansion pack later or buy the more expensive limited edition from another merchant."
Customer support also wasn't very helpful (although I don't blame them). I asked whether they could still send me a copy of the limited edition if my current copy would wind up to be a no-show. The answer I got was: "the limited edition is still available through third-party sellers on Amazon.co.uk." When I asked them whether or not Amazon could send me one of those if my copy wouldn't turn up the answer was a firm no. Then why bother telling me that in the first place? Sigh. Honestly, I'd expect a little more effort than simply a refund.
Never had any problems with Amazon before, their service has been excellent. This pre-ordering business, however, has me rather peeved.
I suppose I might be able to get it from Zavvi or Thehut, hopefully their shipping costs are decent.
At first I thought that it was Royal Mail that has let me down. But after reading this thread, I realise that it is probably Amazons. They probably did not have enough limited editions to go round. Saying it was despatched was probably a pure lie, and they know that nothing was ever sent. I emailed them today to ask them to do something, and they sent another copy, but I noticed that that will not be sent until the 15th of November. I have cancelled my entire order, including the extra copy and have been fully refunded. Not that it makes a difference, I now can't get the Limited Edition because it is now too late, because I trusted Amazon would ensure my delivery would come on time. Well Amazon, that trust is gone.
Amazon got a second shipment of LE's. I was also told I'd get around November 15 but I just received an email they got their second shipment in early -- it will be shipped out November 7 now. Guess the first parcel got lost or stolen or something. Perhaps a parcel without a tracking code poses an easy target for theft?
Yep, no tracking means you can`t specify which Post office Depot it went to and from there which post man took it. If we say an unscrupulous postman\woman decided he wanted to `lose it`, he could and no one could do anything. Some have been caught, but only after nicking people`s post for 6 months. the clever ones won`t be that obvious. I just received an early birthday card and it looked like someone cut it slightly to have look in.
At this time of year EVERYTHING should be recorded.
