I'm afraid I do - specially selected as they are. I know that rankings don't necessarily mean quality but I thought the main criterion was that they had to have "trusted" reviews and some of them have only done a few with loads of other people with higher percentages of favourable reviews who aren't on the vine. If you notice very few of the Vinesters give 1 or 2 star reviews as that will attract unhelpful votes, and we wouldn't want that would we?
In defence of 1 "viner" I do choose items that I am likely to want to read/play/listen to or watch much as I would with a product bought from Amazon. I hope I don't come accross as smug and I have rated things below the 5* category. I have a few favourable reviews and try to get a bit of reality into them as well as a personal take on what the kit is like and how I found it. I have no idea how many reviews I have done some good and some for terrible kit that I have purchased,, not always from Amazon. But if something is truly bad than I feel I should pass that on through a review to warn off others and vice versa. Can I ask if you want to be a Vine Voice and how many reviews have you done on Amazon?
I am lucky enough to be a viner and I hope I'm not smug. I score honestly and have gone from two stars up to five stars (only two for the five stars I think). It's nice to get helpful votes and comments, but I would rather be honest then popular! I agree with Mark though, you tend to pick things you think you will like, so the odds are more likely to enjoy them! Of my last 15 products 2x5 7x4 3x3 and 2x2 Nick
I would like to withdraw my smugness allegation thanks to the two very well argued comments above. I feel like a schmuck. I guess I am just jealous but maybe I should contribute some reviews of my own eh? To be honest I would like to add one on The Heroes as I have actually read a pre-release copy and that was what I found frustrating. Vine Voice reviewers can get a review on early but I couldn't, so I'll do it tomorrow.
