Having bought this book some weeks ago I have recently bought the kindle version. It is worth doing so for two reasons: the text itself can be dipped into at will and the illustrations, although monochrome on the Kindle itself, come beautifully alive when seen on a Kindle fire or other tablet. A must for chess lovers and chess novices alike

An eye opener! 17 April 2013
By Peter Philips - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is a well researched, highly readable and beautifully illustrated book. It is a eye opener for anyone who thinks chess is just another board game. I was lucky enough to catch an early copy and can warmly recommend this book to both chess players and non chess players. It is to be hoped that an English translation may follow.

A cracking read! 17 April 2013
By Peter Philips - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is a cracking read! The colour version however, costing only a few dollar more, is worth purchasing in preference to the B & W version. The beautiful illustrations come to life in full colour. Highly recommended!
