I've always just had the cheap slippers you buy from ASDA because I didn't think spending more than £5 on slippers was worth it. However the fit was always very sloppy and just seemed to fall apart. I decided to invest in a good pair and see what kind of value I'd get. At first these looked like my grandfather's slippers and I wasn't very enthused. Traditionally I've always liked the slide on type.
Imagine my surprise! Right out of the box I was impressed. They were soft and velvety, they look very stylish but still manly. I usually have to get a size larger because my feet are wider. I meant to order a size larger because of the reviews I've read, but I'm glad I didn't. My advice would be to order your size and you should be fine. Not only do they look good but the feel good walking around, like wearing a light little pair of shoes. I usually just walk around in my socks, but these slippers are so comfy I wear them all the time.
The only thing somewhat deceptive about the picture is that the top of the slippers look to be a different color, they are not. The slipper is all black all the way around, the front is the same color as the back piece, must have been the camera flash. The other plus is usually this kind of material is hard to keep clean, but I brush these off with my hands and they look great. Sometimes spending extra money on things is a waste, like a £100 kettle that just boils water. Other times spending 3x what you would on slippers is a wise investment, they look better, they feel better, they last longer it's just a win on all fronts.
Any man that's old enough to appreciate a good beer or a good shave will appreciate a good pair of slippers, so glad I picked these up!
