Visionquest are a dynamic, charismatic and unstoppable force that have quietly crept up and grasped the horns of dance music in 2011. Comprising of Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves, four Detroit refugees who each have their solo careers in their own right, together they career through barren terrain and mystical energies in the next episode of the fabric series. In Native American cultures, a Visionquest is a spiritual quest associated with new beginnings and revelatory journeys. Meeting as teenagers in the collapsed city of Detroit, these four young creatives embarked on their own voyage together that has brought them to the forefront of the electronic music community. Surrounded by the explosion of techno in their home city, they each connected deeply with its heartbeat. The youngest of the pack, Seth Troxler's stepfather was himself a DJ and they each began playing and promoting local events. Keen to etch their own mark as DJs and producers in the wider world, they eloped to Berlin and forged successful solo careers, before coming together again to form the Visionquest production collective responsible for crossover remixes such as Tracey Thorn 'Swimming' and Kiki 'Good Voodoo'. In 2011 they formed the Visionquest label that houses a rising circle of talent such as Footprintz, Laura Jones, Tale Of Us and the biggest track of the year from Benoit & Sergio 'Walk and Talk'.

This mix combines quality house & techno and showcases the talent which Visionquest has to offer. Highly recommended to those wanting the finer things in life.

this album is not hectic its nice chilled out tech house with a techno influence if you like your music real deep like me then you will love this album, oh and theres some nice vocals thrown in there to. i think the above comment may of been written by an old trance fan thats still stuck in the past ... ie not happy unless theres a piano in there but, never the less.
to summarize this is a mix of deep minimal tech house that is worth £5.99 of anyones money ( i love it )

A pretty poor mix in my opinion. The Visionquest bunch have had an unattractive fashionista element about them from the off - their audience is interested as much in the £60 shirt Seth or Ryan are likely to be wearing as the tunes they might line up. Their Fabric mix confirms all my worst fears - an aimless, lumbering slog through a poorly sequenced succession of their own (& their mates') productions, alongside a number of "improved" (i.e. completely ruined) remixes of some terrific older tunes. No drive, no funk, no nowt. In a year's time they'll be as big an embarrassment as the godawful Swedish House Mafia & you'll be hiding this CD at the back of your collection. Zzzzz.
