Love it or loathe it, there is no escaping football this summer. To pass the time until kick off we are delighted to offer our customers an extra special deal.

Place an order for £20 or more before the World Cup starts, and within a week we shall send you a £5 gift certificate to be used during the tournament. Spend it on anything you like from Amazon.co.uk--whether that's a big-screen TV to make the most of it, or a stack of paperbacks to bury your head in until it's over.

For the two weeks between May 23 2006 and June 5 2006, every time you spend £20 or more on purchases from Amazon.co.uk, you will receive a £5 gift certificate by e-mail to spend on further purchases from Amazon.co.uk. Simply use the promotional code which appears on your e-mail gift certificate when you make your next purchase over £20, and £5 will be deducted from your order total at checkout.

But hurry--this promotion closes at midnight on June 5 2006, and gift certificates must be used by midnight on 26 June 2006!

3. You will receive one £5 gift certificate per order over £20 (excluding postage and packing).
4. Gift certificates will only be awarded in respect of purchases from, and can only be used toward subsequent purchases from, Amazon.co.uk on the Amazon.co.uk website, excluding gift certificates in both instances. The offer does not apply to purchases from Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca or the purchase of products from Amazon Jersey or any third-party sellers (including Amazon.co.uk's Auctions, zShops or Marketplace or any of Amazon.co.uk's Trusted Partners).
5. Amazon.co.uk will send your gift certificate by e-mail within a week of you placing your order and no later than June 9.
6. Promotional code cannot to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Promotional codes may not be used on any existing orders.
7. For the promotional code to apply: (i) you must order £20 worth of items (excluding postage and packing); (ii) you must take delivery of the qualifying items. (Note: If you cancel your order for qualifying items such that your order falls below £20, the offer will cease to apply. If you return the qualifying items, Amazon.co.uk reserves the right to withdraw your gift certificate and/or charge you if you have already used the promotional code associated with the gift certificate).
8. Each promotional code has a cash redemption value of 0.0001p and may not be transferred or assigned.
9. This promotion is open to individuals for personal, private purposes only (and not for any direct or indirect commercial purpose). Amazon.co.uk reserves the right to limit the number of gift certificates grated to any one customer.
10. You must pay for the balance of your order (after the deduction of the face value of the promotional code) by credit or debit card.
11. In the event of return of any product which was purchased using a promotional code, any refund will be for the amount paid for the returned item(s) less the value of the promotional code used.
12. Postage and packing will be applied to each item in accordance with Amazon.co.uk's standard delivery rates and policies.
