Expanding its award-winning EasyShare digital photography system, Kodak introduces the Kodak EasyShare CX6230 zoom digital camera--one of the simplest to use point-and-shoot, fully automatic zoom digital cameras. The EasyShare CX6230 zoom digital camera is ideal for digital newcomers who want to take pictures that can be made into crisp, sharp prints up to 8 x 10 inches. The point-and-shoot CX6230 provides two-megapixel resolution, a 3x optical Kodak Retinar aspheric all-glass zoom lens, 3.3x continuous digital zoom, and eight easily accessed picture modes such as night, landscape, close-up, black and white, and sepia. The camera also captures 30-second digital video clips with audio, and incorporates the popular sharing features common across EasyShare products.

EasyShare CX6230 camera owners can quickly transfer their digital pictures to a connected computer with just one touch using the optional Kodak EasyShare Camera Dock 6000. It also rapidly charges compatible camera batteries in less than three hours. People can also receive all the benefits of a dock, plus water-resistant Kodak 4 x 6-inch pictures in as little as 90 seconds, when using the Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock 6000. Both docks are compatible with all CX/DX6000 and LS600-series Kodak EasyShare digital cameras.

Like the entire range of EasyShare cameras, the CX6230 includes Kodak EasyShare software for Windows and Macintosh systems, providing quick, effortless digital picture transfer, organisation, editing, e-mailing, sharing and printing. The software's exclusive One Touch to Better Pictures feature--which takes advantage of proprietary colour technologies developed by Kodak--helps Windows OS users get vibrant, true-to-life prints from home inkjet printers, while reducing the trial, error and waste usually associated with home photo printing.

This is a marvellous allrounder for its price. 16MB of internal memory is more then sufficient for the occassional short trip abroad. It is handy and also looks good. The 2 megapixels,digital and optical zoom provides sharp and clear pictures. It fits easily on mac and pc. You can just email your pictures straight from the camera. It has a good and easy to navigate menu on the lcd-screen. If you never used a digital camera before then this camera will be perfect. It has all the normal functions of an ordinary camera: flash ( and switch-of),red-eye-reduction, self-timer and manual focus. The video-facilities are a little disappointing, but this is reflected in the price. It is just so easy to take pictures, print or send them with this camera that it deserves its four stars.

I did a lot of net homework before deciding to buy a digital camera and this Kodak CX6230 is for the money a lot of camera for the money, the shots in the mini lcd screen can/will be very decieving becuase when you atcually download the pictures to your computer you will be amazed at the quality of the pictures

For a camera that is only 2 million pixels the pictures are of a very high quality, I was very pleased with the results

The camera is VERY simple to use, I have never used a digital camera before but after a hour of toying around with the camera I was navigating around the camera options with ease. The camera is easy to use and the extra bonus is it also has video/audio facalities so that you can record those short 5-30 minute movies (depending on the size memory card you buy) to email friends and family

All in all I am very very happy, I purchased a Kodak CX6230/128 k memory card/camera carry case/ battery charger & rechargeable batteries all from Amazon for under £180!!!

What more can I say??

I bought this camera just before I went to Egypt for Christmas. I'm not a very technical minded person and so I bought it as it looked user friendly and would produce excellent quality pictures for emailing. I have found this camera to be excellent. Its so easy to use and the picture quality is amazing! I have received so many comments as to how my pictures have turned out. I recommend anyone who is looking for an easy to use digital camera with excellent picture quality to purchase this.
