The EXILIM EX-Z250 features a large, bright 7.6 cm (3.0 inch) TFT colour display (Super Clear LCD) that permits viewing from almost any angle. In addition to the large viewing angle and a high resolution of 230,400 pixels, the TFT colour display provides above-average contrast, thus assuring an especially clear and sharp image of your subject. The display offers above-average brightness to simplify viewing of your images even in sunlight. You can select from 5 presets to match the brightness to the ambient lighting conditions: 0/+1/+2/Auto1/Auto2.

The heart of the EX-Z250 is the new EXILIM Engine 3.0 image processing module that combines a new high-speed image processor and a state-of-the-art CPU (central processing unit). The EXILIM Engine 3.0 processes complex images very rapidly, provides outstanding image quality with moiré and noise suppression, making it a pleasure to take and view photos. Thanks to the speed and power of the image processor, the EX-Z300 delivers fantastic portraits with the Make-up Shot Function, night-time photos and photos of subjects that have always been a challenge for every photographer: The camera detects and automatically corrects photos that were taken under difficult lighting conditions. This includes night-time photos where there is the risk of wiggling during long exposure times, or against-the-light shots of people in which the faces often appear too dark. It is thus simple and uncomplicated to photograph your friends and family against any background regardless of the lighting conditions and keep them for posterity.

With the new, Mechanical CCD Shift technology, in conjunction with the Motion Analysis system and the Anti Shake DSP*, the risk of shaky photos is reduced to a minimum.

The CCD Shift system mechanically compensates for camera movements via a mobile image sensor. The Motion Analysis technology automatically analyses the speed and direction of a moving subject - ISO sensitivity and exposure time are then optimally adjusted as appropriate. The Anti Shake DSP* is the solution for electronically resolving the problem of picture blurriness caused by shaking hands or by the movement of the picture subject. And with the Film Stabilisation function*, there is a reduced risk of filming shaky scenes due to a wobbly camera grip.
