I purchased the V1273 to capture the precious early weeks with my newborn. Six weeks after parting with my cash, just ten days after my baby was born and having taken less than 50 pictures, the camera broke. Completely died. Kodak kindly informed me that refunds / exchanges could only be offered 28 days after purchase - thereafter, the product has to go away to be repared. Were they bothered that I couldn't take any further pics of my new baby? Were they heck. Instead, I have to find an umarked box, mark it with serial numbers and fault codes, wait in for a mere 48 hours for UPS to collect the camera and then kiss it goodbye for three weeks. Surely, if Kodak had any faith in this product themselves, they would back it for more than 28 days?

Contrary to the only other review so far, I have found this to be an excellent item. It is my first digital camera, and I am very impressed. I have had no problems at all, other than first mastering all the various functions, and would not hesitate to purchase another from Kodak.
