Panasonic is pleased to introduce a new Lumix digital camera 8.1-Megapixe DMC-LS80 that combines easy-to-use advanced functions and AA-battery operation convenience. Newly developed superb Lumix DC VARIO lens system with 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 33-100mm on a 35mm film camera) fits in its compact body and renders clear image to edges.
DMC-LS80's super-easy operation is a comprehensive intelligent mode that combines four distinct features aimed at making it easy to capture perfect images. Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Auto Macro mode and Quick AF system. These entire functions act automatically, so you enjoy effortless, trouble-free shooting in any situation, comes with capturing beautiful photos.
DMC-LS80 further offers a range of features that enhance usability and add convenience. The Intelligent LCD function which comes with the 230,000-dot high resolution monitor, detects lighting condition and controls brightness level of the LCD in 12 fine steps, to offer the display with best appropriate clarity in any situations.
With its multi-task image processing capability, the Venus Engine III boasts outstanding response time. The DMC-LS80 can record WVGA (848 x 480) motion pictures at 30 frames per second. Fitting a wide-screen TV perfectly, these wide""aspect motion pictures make for extremely impressive viewing. A microphone has been added to allow recording motion picture with voice.

Panasonic has just added another camera to its Lumix range: the Lumix DMC-LS80. Thanks to this camera, even beginners can get great shots, because it comes with an 8-megapixel CCD sensor and a stabilised lens, all in a slim and stylish case. In addition to delivering excellent quality images, the Lumix DMC-LS80 is packed with all the latest technologies, including a high sensitivity mode going up to ISO 6400, which increases the brightness of images according to the level of darkness. The DMC-LS80 is equipped with a 3x optical zoom and an improved 35 mm-equivalent focal length of 33-100 mm, so you can integrate even more elements into your photos, as you could with a standard wide-angle lens. The Lumix DMC-LS80 also has a Mega O.I.S. stabiliser, which compensates for the effects of camera shake, and a Venus Engine III image processor to improve the quality of images by giving them better contrast and finish. There is even a number of scene and colour modes to help you take that perfect photo. You don''t have to be a digital camera expert to take great photos with the DMC-LS80.
