The 7.2 megapixel EXILIM Card EX-Z77 add enhanced movie functionality to CASIO's stylish series of EXILIM digital cameras. It joins CASIO's successful EXILIM Zoom series, whose excellent balance of superior functionality and stylish, compact look characterize the EXILIM brand. It comes with a high-quality movie function that makes the most of next-generation H.264 compression technology. They also feature CASIO's new "YouTube Capture Mode", which enables users to shoot and save movies at the optimum size, quality and other settings for YouTubeTM, the world's most popular online site for sharing videos. CASIO has also included an exclusive software application that makes it fast and simple to upload movies to YouTubeTM. The new cameras also feature a blur reduction function that uses motion analysis technology, an auto-tracking AF system, and face detection technology. The combination of face detection technology and the auto-tracking AF system ensures that, once the focus locks on to a person's face, it will stay sharp and maintain the right exposure, even if the person moves. I ordered this camera for my daughter's birthday as it said the delivery was c. 21st July ie plenty of time. After I'd placed the order the delivery date had changed to 4th August long after her birthday. I should have queried it then but didn't. The money was taken from my credit card immediately but nothing was delivered. On the 4th August I received an e-mail saying the camera was not in stock and that my money had been refunded. I have tried to complain to Amazon but there aren't any means so I am pretty angry and slightly suspicious about the whole business where my money was taken and then given back with no goods. To rub salt into the wounds Amazon keep sending me e-mails to rate their service etc and then ignore my comments. In future, I will not be using Amazon

I actally bought this camera as a replacement for one which imprinted the date onto the picture. I found I had to use the camera hacker website instead. It is really quite a good camera, Casio being a reliable make. I have to say that I found the casio to hold its charge better than say a Nikon of similar specification. Certainly not a big issue, but if you're videoing you'll want power that lasts. I bought this item from qvc because it was part of a package. Would recommend it for people who want something small and reliable.

Nice looking camera, good features, good price. What's not to like? The poor build quality. The battery has been a problem. When it's charging or supposed to be charging, the red light blinks incessantly. But the battery isn't actually charging at all. I've had to send the battery back to Casio twice. To their credit, they replaced it quickly on both occasions. The build quality is next. Of course this is a pocket camera and by its nature not supposed to be subjected to heavy wear and tear. Despite not subjecting it to heavy wear and tear, the camera body is falling apart (it's about a year old and has been very lightly used - because the battery has rarely worked during that time!). These small cameras are a commodity nowadays and at the price I would look elsewhere.
