I had been searching for a genuine pocket sized digital camera with a decent optical zoom for months. Until now it seemed that if you wanted an optical zoom of more than 3x then you could not not have a compact pocket sized digital. All that has changed. The Samsung L77 is fantastic. Picture quality is genuinely very good, speed of capture and set up is fantastic. How Samsung have squashed so much wizardry into such a compact camera (and in a sleek matt black metal casing) is beyond belief. If you want/need a camera which you can pop into your pocket and yet still deliver such technically impressive standards then look no further. My L77 is with me all the time.

I didn't know what to expect from this product- as at the time of buying there weren't any reviews around. Now, I'm very glad I did. The build quality is superb- all metal, and the camera has a 7x optical zoom lens which is non-prodruding!- this is amazing as the camera is so slim.
I was also surprised at the image quality- photos are sharp and capture a variety of detail- and you are given the option of shooting at 50-1600 iso, which helps in low light- even the images at the top end of that scale are useable.
Battery life is good, but probably not as good as the fuji f30, f31 etc range of camera's and an image stabilization sytem would have been handy, but all in all, the L77 is a fantastic product that is well worth buying.

Wow! I was probably the first person to buy this camera from Amazon. I's the best camera I've seen. It has plenty of functions in the various menus...picture quality, editing, lighting up to 1600 ISO. Top features are the build - it's solid and light; picture quality - very natural pictures (over 7mp); video - high quality and pause/play button while recording a single clip; battery - lasts for days with couple of hours use daily and last but not least is the zoom (x7 opt) that DOESN'T protrude. Go and buy one now and forget about digital cameras for the next few years.
