TruePic TURBO:Developed by Olympus, the TruePic TURBO image processor automatically enahnces important aspects of image quality:colour reproduction (colour range, saturation and brightness), picture sharpness, as well as processing speed.

High ISO Setting:A special shooting mode, where the camera automatically increases ISO sensitivity to allow shorter shutter speeds - which helps to avoid image blur caused by camera shake or by fast-moving objects.

"One button, one function" design principle:All essential functions, such as shooting, playback and viewing on the LCD, as well as erasing, are easily activated via a single button making controlling the camera child's play.

The FE-230 makes a big impact thanks to a diminutive slim-line stainless metal body that?s just 16.5mm thick. Image quality is second to none thanks to the TruePic TURBO image processor and 7.1 Megapixel resolution. Proving that its beauty is more than skin deep, a 3x zoom lens and a big 6.4cm LCD screen allow users frame their shots with ease, and makes viewing results a joy too. Handling the FE-230 is genuinely intuitive, with the camera incorporating a ?one button, one function? design principle. A mode dial lets users conveniently choose between the camera?s eight different shooting programmes, which include High ISO Setting mode with ISO 1250, Super Macro and Movie recording with sound. Ideal for happy snappers, 18 preset scene modes are on board to make easy work of familiar photo situations. These include special Underwater modes which (when used with the optional Underwater Case PT-038) give the freedom to take fun shots up to 40m below the water?s surface.

I am by no means a serious photographer. I like to take a camera to gigs, parties, etc so I wanted something I could take around in my pocket rather that a large camera.

Good stuff
- Small, big screen, picture size and quality, zoom, looks really nice,

Inconvenience
- XD cards are not that common, The USB connection is fairly new so you may need to take it with you, if you take the pictures too fast half the image will be grey!!, cant put it on a mini tripod, not that great in a dark room (giging), hard to see what your taking a picture of on a bright day, uncommon battery thats expensive to replace, batery life is not that great, big charger box required. not much you can do to edit photos while on camera


Overall I still think it is a great camera ans great for the price. It's £11 cheaper now. Its annoying it isnt better in the dark (even on the night portrait setting)

Wanted a second digital camera that was compact but would give me quality pictures,also a camera that could be used by my mum.This camera fits the bill on all counts.Small-fits easily into a pocket or bag.Ready at the touch of a button this camera is very easy to use.The one button,one function button makes this camera a joy to use,simple and quick.The resulting pictures are excellent.Would recommend this camera to anyone who like me wanted a camera that was pocketable yet didnt stint on quality and wasnt going to break the bank-this is it!!!

I have had this camera for a few weeks now and have not been disappointed. It looks gorgeous and is very easy to use with one button perfoming one function. The LCD screen is large making reviewing your pictures very easy. Get it!!
