There should be just two tracks, instead of three, on this CD single. Hopefully Amazon.co.uk looks into the matter and corrects the mistake so as not to mislead potential buyers. 3 track CD single of "I'm with stupid" is only available on imported Australian version of the single. All UK release should contain only two songs i.e only 1 non-album track included, instead of two.

In the lead up to their first album for 4 years, I'm With Stupid (A reference to Blair andBush) is the lead single from Fundamental. A top class song, and everything you'd expect from the boys. Upbeat, electronic based with cracking lyrics. Surely the most successful UK duo ever (35/37 singles making the top 20) deserve another number one!

With 2002's 'Release' a slight break from their usual style (but still a fantastic album), the standalone singles Miracles and Flamboyant took them back to their electronica roots, with the latter as good as anythign they've done. This album appears to be more of what are best at, and famous for. That's no bad thing either.

During their career, several things mark out Pet Shop Boys as being ahead of their competitors. One is their choice of remixers: you can follow the history of dance music through the PSB singles. The other is the quality of the non-album B-side songs on those singles, as evidenced by 1995's "Alternative" compilation. "The Resurrectionist" is one of their Hi-NRG best. The tune sounds like an Altern 8 mix (think "Yesterday When I was Mad" or his remix of Pulp's "Common People") but the lyrics pay homage to Burke & Hare, the Resurrectionists of the title, two notorious bodysnatchers of the Victorian era. Packed with plenty of London locations and, with its line about "a handsome lad in a Hansom cab/Soon to be laid out on the slab", a possible reference to gay serial killer Dennis Neilson.

"I'm with Stupid" is not one of their most immediate songs, and seems to lack a hook. When I saw the video the other week, I couldn't remember anything about the tune once I'd got over seeing the Little Britain duo re-enact some of the PSBs finer video moments. But the song is a grower, and as you know by now, a tart comment on the special relationship Tony Blair enjoys with GWB. Trevor Horn gives one of his usual detailed production jobs, with what sounds like a sample from an old Gary Numan record at the beginning. Perhaps a longer version would sound more complete (I havent heard the LP version yet).
