This CD captures Faith No More at Brixton Academy in the Summer of 1990, roughly at their "Real Thing" period, and as such much of that album is showcased here including the title track, the classic "Epic", "From Out Of Nowhere" and "Falling To Pieces".

Whereas most live albums tend to be...shall we say, patchy?...this captures the bands dynamic performance perfectly, showcasing the vocal ad-libbing of Mike Patton in particular. A great sense of humour is displayed too as Faith No More shoehorn excerpts of "Pump Up The Jam" and the New Kids On The Block 'classic' "The Right Stuff" into their own tunes.

A must for all Faith No More fans.

If like me you first consumed Faith No More with glee upon tearing the cellophane off a copy of Angel Dust in complete oblivion to the existence Epic, then this review wont be for you because by now you've already purchased the entire FNM back cataloge. As far as live albums go I dont have a better one, the energy and performances are outstanding. The production is by no means perfect but for me this is a real party record in the vain of Back in Black - We Care A Lot never fails to get me prancing around the floor in pure reverie.

This album is a must have for any music fan, or should I say MUSIC fan! The tracks all float the right boat for me because I was there at the gig, unforgettable, that's what they are!
