Product Description

The popular 'Introductory Guide to Anatomy & Physiology' has been fully revised and now comes with a free resource CD ROM with every copy. Altogether this makes a fantastically powerful learning resource for students and lecturers alike. The success of this book is based on its straightforward style and simple illustrations throughout. It explains complex subjects in an approachable and practical manner. This is an invaluable learning and reference tool for all students in the fields of therapy (beauty, complementary and sports) and for anyone studying for general nursing, care and paramedical qualifications. Now for the first time included with every copy is a CD ROM; this is a comprehensive and powerful learning resource. On this you will find study aids for students including a complete audio version; animations, quizzes and sample questions. For lecturers we have added lesson plans, all the imagery from the book for them to use as they wish and access to animations to help with the learning process.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great textbook, 6 Aug 2008
By A Customer (England) - See all my reviews
I have found this textbook really helpful in my studies. The full audio version on the CDROM, is great for remembering all the muscles and other difficult body parts all my class mates struggled on.

I would say if you are studying Anatomy and Physiology as part of your course, get this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars I found it useful, 13 Nov 2007

I need a good basic introductory book, and this works well for me. It explains things simply. The CDROM is a nice touch, it include an audio version of the book which will be useful for revision, the graphics on the CDROM are handy for course work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Need to sort their inaccuracies!, 30 May 2009
By L. J. FOX (Kent, UK) - See all my reviews

As the course book for the ITEC diploma in A&P it is disappointing how many errors there are in this book. Our tutor is keeping a log of them so as to contact the publisher. The explanations are clear and straightforward, but finding errors makes me slightly less secure about the veracity of the rest of it. Perhaps this is because there isn't a medical editor, but 3 beauty therapists-turned-ITEC examiners. It has been helpful to me to read other books alongside so as to get a more definitive picture. However, with the exam based on the course book, do you choose to answer what is right, or what the book says??!! Not the sort of dilemma you should expect to have when studying at this level - or any level, come to that!
