About the Author
Philip Briggs has been a full-time travel writer since 1991. He is the sole author of nine travel guides covering various African destinations from Ghana and Ethiopia to Mozambique and Malawi, the co-author of a new guide to Rwanda, and has contributed to a dozen other books about Africa. Martin Harvey has been a professional wildlife photographer since 1993. He has photographed in more than 25 countries, from the Arctic regions of North America to the deserts of Australia, but dedicates most of his time to working in Africa. Martin has received numerous awards and commendations in the BBC Photographer of the Year and Agfa Wildlife Awards. He has published one previous book, African Predators. Belgian-born Ariadne van Zandbergen first travelled in Africa in 1994 and subsequently made her home in Johannesburg. Her work has been used in many travel guides and maps, published variously by Insight, AA, Bradt, Frommer's, Globetrotter, Lonely Planet and Insight-Discovery. She is a major photographic contributor to a number of magazines and leads regular photographic tours to various African destinations.
