Broadband wireless system designers and engineers view OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) as one of the most promising new access technologies due to it's ability to deliver high data rates, operate in the hostile multipath radio environment, and reduce the consumption of limited resources such as spectrum and transmit power. Here's the first book to address the critical problems of radio resource management (RRM) and quality of service (QoS) for OFDMA systems, including possible solutions presented as RRM algorithms. Discussing OFDMA radio resource management in the context of broadband wireless access systems such as WiMAX, this unique resource serves as an excellent reference for OFDMA system design work and provides expert guidance on emerging enhancements to WiMAX technology. Moreover, practitioners learn how to use the algorithms presented in the book to create new features and functionalities to help differentiate their products in the marketplace.

About the Author
Slawomir Pietrzyk is the founder and director of Innovative Solutions, Poland. He received his Ph.D. in wireless communications from the Delft University of Technology and his postgraduate diploma in management from the Warsaw School of Economics. Dr. Pietrzyk is a member of IEEE.
