4.0 out of 5 stars A Pretty Good Addition, 20 Jun 2001
By A Customer
Although I liked the first Discworld GURPS book beter, this one is a worthy follow-up, in my opinion. Unfortunately the excellent Paul Kidby is _not_ back with us for the illustrations, but it was _written_ by the same people as the first one. This book explores things such as the "Last Continent" of XXXX, how to run a campaign in Klatch, life at Unseen University, swashbuckling in the Brown Islands, and more. There are many new character templates from all different walks of life--from trainee witches and barbarian hero "wannabes" to things like small _gods_, even! And some new races.

The Adventure Seeds are fun to just read, let alone play! And my personal favourite part was all the student wizard stuff, because I've always loved the parts in the books about UU.

It's not as closely-adherent to the style of the original Discworld novels as the first DW GURPS book, but I'd still reccommend it. Most DW fans should enjoy it at least somewhat as entertainment/reference, but people who are actually planning to _play_ this RPG will find this second book more _useful_ than just amusing.
