I was given this book as a Christmas present because I'm interested in architecture, and a great fan of Burt Chapel, probably Liam McCormick's most beautiful church. What can I say, it's a wonderful book - well written and beautifully illustrated. It provides invaluable information for those interested in his career, and for anyone wanting to track down his work to look at for themselves. There's reference material on the artists who contributed to his churches, and biographical material in various forms including an interview with him, and even the sailing log of one of his trips from Lough Foyle to the Baltic. Although it might not seem terribly relevant, the latter is in fact a delightful read, and contributes to a very lively and engaging portrait of the man himself.

Highly recommended!
