I had great hopes for this book, however it seems that you have to be reasonably good at splicing wire before you can understand the instructions, in which case you don't really need it anyway. If you just want some interesting black and white pictures, then by all means buy this, if you want an instructional book the Riggers Apprentice or others is far more suited.
