5.0 out of 5 stars Usborne Illustrated Thesaurus, 6 Oct 2002
My son has never been one for writing great pieces of fiction - in fact English homework was a pain the neck. This book is beautifully illustrated with helpful panels relating to particular areas like fireworks or fires. These panels have all sorts of suggestions like how a firework looks, the noise it makes the colours etc. It captured my son's imagination and before long he was writing his own little masterpieces with his nose well and truly buried in this book. He got an A+ for a piece of writing last week - all thanks to usborne!

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Home Should Have One, 1 Feb 2004
By A Customer
I bought this book to help stretch my sons' vocabularly, and they regularly refer to it for help with their homework. It is such a useful book, and beautifully illustrated. We are big fans of Usborne generally, as they produce such terrific books, and this one is no exception. Every home should have one.
