Album Description
With roots in America and South Africa, as well as England, Zubop are a much-travelled band. They have made frequent trips to Germany and Switzerland and outside projects have taken band members to Kerala in southern India, Senegal, Ethiopia, Morocco, Ireland, Texas and Siciliy. Their music is a mix of salsa, samba, Eastern jazz, ska, funk and reggae. 'Tekezze', their fourth album, is truly deserving of the tag worldbeat. An incredibly diverse package, it bounces round all four corners of the globe - often on the same song - and is probably their best yet. Tekezze is an optimistic, unpretentious and hugely accomplished album.
