Don't waste time watching this... I had it on while doing something else and even then it was boring because the theme never takes off. after half an hour I jumped ahead to see if anything was happening, but no.... nothing, same old ranting mysterious ( bloke in a cloth cap REALLY mysterious) ... and the ending... what ??? stars swirling... was that it ?? eh?
cheap budget movie ... pfffttt

This is a really good film, I enjoyed it all the way through. I'm a big fan of Lauren Holly and she gave a great performance here. Well worth a view and very good value. Recommend it.

Wow, snoozefest. I am an avid fan of the Apocalyptic genre (as well as being a horror movie geek), this film was a disappointment. If you're looking for a natural disaster movie with big storms, meteor showers, this is not the film for you.

* SPOILER ALERT, THE REST OF THIS REVIEW GIVES AWAY THE PLOT, SO DON'T READ ON UNLESS YOU WISH TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS*

In the beginning, there were some clips of tornados, landslides, etc. There was heavy rain, suddenly it stopped. Everyone, bar a handful of thugs in town, disappeared, no real explanation as to why they had vanished, was given. A strange man turned up in the family home, as easily predicted, he turned out to be murderous. Over an hour of this film was just the family, in the home, struggling to cope, this man was there, the father didn't like him etc. Last 10 mins revealed this stranger had murdered his father. The Husband/Father of the family makes him leave, he does. Last 2/3 mins he comes back, there is a small struggle, it's over. Last 20 seconds, the stars start going out, the end of the world is insinuated in the last 5 seconds. Basically, the entire movie, is just a slow, boring struggle of not trusting this strange man, and some 'everyone has disappeared, what is going on' angst. Nothing special about the characters, they're relatively boring, nothing about them makes you care whether or not they live or die. Absolutely no tension in the entire film. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. They could have made a 10 minute version of this film, would have been better, and, saved us an hour of our time. I regret wasting my money and renting this.
